  • Temperament: Docile, shy, non-aggressive

🏡 Enclosure Setup

Enclosure Size:

  • Hatchlings: 10–20 gallon tank / 16qt tub

  • Juveniles: 20–40 gallon tank / 28–41qt tub

  • Adults: 40+ gallon tank / 4’x2’ enclosure recommended

Substrate:

  • Best: Coco husk, cypress mulch, paper towels (easy to clean)

  • Avoid: Pine/cedar (toxic oils)

Hides:

  • Minimum of two hides (warm & cool side)

  • Snug-fitting to reduce stress

Climbing & Enrichment:

  • Low branches, cork bark, fake plants, clutter for security

Temperature Gradient:
